Exploring National Parks across the US has always been something I’ve had on my radar. When the chance presented itself, I jumped on the opportunity. I had a little over two weeks that I was able to disappear off the grid and road trip to as many National Parks and locations possible. My boyfriend was getting laid off, so I figured it was the perfect time to jump in the car and go explore! We loaded up my 4runner with a National Park book on the iPad, and a list of parks/ locations we wanted to hit. Our list looked like this:
- Grand Tetons National Park
- Yellowstone National Park
- Glacier National Park
- Olympic National Park
- Mount Rainier
- Crater Lake
- Mount Hood
- Mount Shasta
- Yosemite National Park
- Mammoth Lakes
- Mono Lake
- Death Valley
- Bryce Canyon National Park
- Horse Shoe Bend
- Grand Canyon National Park
We planned to car camp, tent camp, hike, and explore as many locations as we could fit in. We expected to spend between 2-3 days max at each place in order to max out our time between driving to each location and exploring over 2 weeks. We embarked on what would be one of the most memorable trips I could have ever imagined! I thought it would be fun to break down our trip by park/location with my favorites and recommendations. But, here’s a little taste of some of my favorites along the way.
Favorite Park: Glacier National Park
Favorite Moment: Watch Grizzly Bears chill & eat
Missed Moment: A pack of wolves and babies running around in the field
Favorite View: Going to the Sun Road in Glacier National Park
There is so much outside of the concrete jungle to explore, and the best part is you don’t have to venture far off the path to capture the views!
